Modeling of a airflow in a intake manifold

Hi

How can I input a boundary layer that is changing with time (i.e. when the velocity is a function of time). I am trying to model the airflow inside the intake manifold of a four-cylinder internal combustion engine and therefore I have to use a variable intake velocity at the intake ports. I am also trying to model the pulses that occur inside the manifold. Will I be able to this using the FLUENT software?

you can model the manifold using Fluent. There is an article on the subject at www.all4engineers.com, in the link autotechnology. The article decribes how to design an F1 engine manifold.
