hi, I want to model multiphase packed bed using porous media. I want to have variable porosity in the radial direction. Can somebody suggest how I can implement it in fluent (whether I have to use UDF or there is some other way).

Regards Nishith

Hello Nishith. Using UDF'S is probably the best way for implementing a variable porosity. In the old UDf User Guide there was a sample application for this problem. I think that example is missing in the new Guide. But if you are familiar with writing UDF's you should have no problem.
