Constant wall heat flux with uniform temperature

I am using Fluent to model heat transfer for flow inside a channel with constant heat flux boundary condition. Is there a way to impose a uniform wall temperature around the periphery at the same time, i.e. H1 boundary condition? I have tried giving the wall material a very high thermal conductivity (1e+20) but there is still significant temperature variation in the wall periphery.

Any pointer would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Jake

hi,

have you tried to write an udf? i donīt know whether it works but with DEFINE_HEAT_FLUX it could be possible... take a look in the manual...

Hi Martin, I have not tried writting an udf. Will try that. Thanks for the pointer. Appreciate that. Jake
