Hi

How can I input a boundary layer that is changing with time (i.e. when the velocity is a function of time)? I am trying to model the airflow inside the intake manifold of a four-cylinder internal combustion engine and therefore I have to use a variable intake velocity at the intake ports.

THE IMPORTANT THING IS THAT I know there are software's that simulate the boundary condition but my university won't supply them to me.

Regards, Jack

Hey, If you know the profile of your intake velocity you can define it by UDF and set it as inlet boundary condition.

Hope this is what you want to know.
