animation sequence files

I am simulating unsteady flow in a batch mode. I could not find the animation sequence file saved though I find the case and data files for each time step saved. To save the data file I used file-data-write command in the script that I am using to run the simulation in a batch mode .

I wonder if I have to add another command or any procedure to follow at the post processing stage inorder the simulation sequence file saved atomatically while fluent runs in batch mode.

Infact I follow the procedures to activate animation and it workd fine in the interactive mode the problem I have is to make the corresponding files saved automatically in a batch mode.

Thank You

solve/animate/define/define-monitor

I would love to find this out, too. I'm using Fluent12. I can get most of the way there but then get an error.

solve/animate/define/define-monitor

after inputing the option for Storage Path Name, I get the following error:

Error: No graphics functions are available.
Error Object: ()

Any help? Please?

Text commands

Hi all,
I am generating the snapshots using the text commands to set graphics with the appropriate views than save as hardcopy after setting the hardcopy format in the interactive mode.
I found that the Fluent text interface is much better that the GUI once we know how to use it
Good chance

Are you using an input file?
Could you possibly post a sample of the commands or script that you would use to generate the images?

useful commands

The commands should be something like
disp set-window number
disp set contour surface name or number
disp contour variable range
disp view restore-view view
disp view camera up-vector x y z
.........
...........
..............
...............
..........
........... whatever you want as settings then
disp hard-copy name of file%-i or f or t.tif
Don't forget to set the hardcopy format in the file menu
once ghathered you need a software like quicktime pro for example to animate the single files
