I want to use fluent6 to simulate aluminium particle combustion. I use DPM model, but I woder which particle type I should use , Droplet or Combusting?
And does Combusting particle type only for coal combustion ? thanks to you!! |

Hi
If you are considering any reaction, you need to select 'Combusting' particles. 'Droplet' will only deal with heating, evaporation, and boiling. Combusting particles are not specific to coal. The approach is a generalized one for any surface type combustion. That should work for aluminum particles, provided you give appropriate properties. Chendhil. |
