Re: How to add a User-Defined Scalar Transport

Dear sirs,

I am trying to add a user-defined scalar transport equation to FLUENT. After I read the examples in the tutorial, I still don't know how to deal with the partial derivative terms in the transport equation.

Could you please show me some simple examples if you have used it before?

Thanks a lot!!

Li

HI, This derivative part dS will help you to get an implicit calculation of your scalar terms. I would say you should do a first test by setting dS = 0 to check the behaviour of your simulation. If you get some stability troubleshoot you can to express this term. The fact to set dS = 0 won't normally change the final result.
