solid suspension in moving liquid

I need to modeal a moving liquid area area with spherical solid particles inside. What kind of solver should I use? I tried setting particles as moving wall. But FLUENT prevented me from setting the velocity normal to the moving wall. Those particles have different velocity so I can't simply use relative velocity. Could you give me some suggestions?

Hi Jason,

I'm modelling same as you. I think better to use segregate solver with Multiphase mixture model that will allow you to impliment different velocities for every phases. Any help plz contact.

What if those velocities of the particles are different even if they are not different phase? The velocities just depend on positions.

A UDF be written specifying velocity/Rotation of the spherical particles .

Just make it differet phases keeping all physical properties same.. then u can be able to introduce diff velocities.
