Hi everybody! I've got to mesh a geometry inside a cubic volume. i meshed the geometry faces (with aspect ratio=100, without meshing edges before!). but when I come to mesh the fluid volume contained between the body (geometry & the cubic volume), what I did is meshing the edges of the cube (aspect ratio=10 to get a progressive mesh) and then I launch the volume mesh. then I get the following error message: ************************************************** * Initialization failed; perturb boundary nodes and try again. TGlib received signal SIGSEGV (segmentation violation)ERROR: TG_Mesh_Domain failed with error code 1. ERROR: Tetrahedral meshing has failed for volume fluide. This is usually caused by problems in the face meshes. Check the skewnesses of your face meshes and make sure the face mesh sizes are not too large in areas of small gaps. ************************************************** ***** any help is welcome thanx!

You could try to refine the grid on your geometry where there are curves, angles and other kinds of rapid change of shape.
You can do this meshing edges of the geometry before of meshing its faces. Hi ap |

thanx a lot! I managed to do it with a cylinder contained in a cubic volume, with only meshing surfaces. I think the problem is rather some edges not being able to be linked. bye

Hello
I want to mesh a duct (fluid) with a constant wall thickness (deformable). The duct has a bulging like an expanding balloon. First, I mesh the inlet of the fluid using a boundary layer. Then I mesh the inlet wall. Then I want to use hex/wedge for the volume wall but it does not work. Thanks George |
