Default Extracting Shock Surfaces

Hi,

I am attempting to extract shockwave surfaces from a 3-d supersonic simulation. Has any one generated a script file or a UDF that can be used to generate a variable which can then be used to create shock surfaces? Any help to this matter would be greatly appreciated.
