"interior" boundary condition-urgent

Hi,
I have a circular hole on the surface of a cylinder and when I read the mesh file into FLUENT, it changes the "interior" boundary condition specified by me on the circular hole to "wall" with an error message : 'cannot change "face#" to interior because there is only one adjacent cell thread'. But this circular hole cannot be wall. Anybody have any idea what is wrong? Thanks, Shankar. |

Hi shankar,
'interior' surface is specified when we have fluid on either side....if i have understood your case correctly, the error message appears bcoz you have fluid (mesh)on only one side of the surface....so, in the mesher just define this as a separate surface. let's say 'hole'...read the mesh into fluent and define whatever bc you have for the hole... bye, ashish |
