injection in Combustion problem

I am working on combustion of Diesel Oil. There is a cylindrical(560mm dia.) combustor. At inlet of combustor there is a spray of LDO(Light Diesel Oil) from nozzle of 0.8 mm dia with air inlet from blower.

For analysis, can I take "Injection" of single 0.8mm for the combustion problem?? I have not define any fuel inlet face. just air inlet face has been created in the grid. is it ok?? Then How to start combustion??

Thanks

Re: injection in Combustion problem

You can set up your injection using the DPM approach. You can specify where you want the injection to take place, either from a surface or a point injection. TO start combustion you need to patch an area of the flow to initiate combustion. You do this after you have initialized the solution. Pacth a temperature around 2000 K and you should be ok.

Dont forget to follow the combustion laws and set the correct parameters in the materials pannel.
