hai, In my problem, in a cylindrical combustor, coal comes from an inlet port horizoantally. In the combustor, sand is patched to a height and air is sent from bottom of combustor. Now, I want to know that, is there any specific laws for drag etc. for the solid-solid interaction(sand-coal). Can we use existing laws in Fluent.?IF so, which one?

Awaiting for a response, Thanking you krishna

FLUENT implements the Syamlal-O'Brian symmetric drag function for pairs of solid phases.

You can select it in the Phase->Interaction->Drag panel.

Thanks once again ap, if the same problem is considered with energy equation included, such that the fluid is given a inlet Temperature, what model can we use for fluid-solid ineraction and also solid-solid interaction.

Thanking You,

krishna.
