importing geometry from image files

I have images (for example bmp, jpeg) of my flow models. How can I import them in GAMBIT to build my flow geometries and then proceed with meshing, followed by FLUENT modeling? Can anyone please give me some suggestions? Thanks in advance!

Re: importing geometry from image files

You can't do this directly in gambit.

Essentially you will need some other program (probably a CAD package - such as AutoCAD) that will let you "draw round" the geometry in your images, and then you can save something in a format that gambit can read.

If the geometry is fairly simply, it might be as easy to load your images in a paint program and manually transcribe the coordinates of interesting features.
