hi,

thank you for the time and effort spent to solve my problem. I am trying two step hydrogen combustion. But in fluent exist only one step hydrogen combustion. I want to two or three step hydrogen-air combustion mechanism modelling. the FLuent documentations gives no description

If anyone can help and build up a suitable answer, i would be very grateful.

Regards Ahmet

Presuming that you know the kinetics of the 2 or 3 step reaction mechanism, you can alter the hydrogen-air mixture reaction properties in order to modify and add new reactions.

Things that you will need to do include:

- Adding any intermediate species not already in the default H2/Air mixture to it that are needed by the advanced mechanism.

- Adding the second and third reactions, with appropriate stoichometry and reaction data.

- Modifying the first reaction to reflect the right species and stoichometry and reaction data.

- Modifying the mechanism to include the 2nd and 3rd step to make sure they are active along with the 1st.

hello MN thanks for reply But.What I not known two or three step hydrogen-air combustion reaction. I tried Thermo.db file change in fluent code database, but error has been occured in thermo.db file. I not define chemical special, because species button not disapper in fluent menu.

What am I add new reactions in fluent code? I forward to help about this proplems sincerely yours Ahmet
