When you do grid check what if you get a negative volume ? is that ok ? what does a negative volume mean?

Re: minimum volume

Negative volume is not okay... Fluent will not solve... if you have cells (tets) in complex geometry the most skewed element could have this problem that doesn't pass the mesh check....Try modifying mesh to remove the negative volume cells....left-handed cells will also result in negative volume... These are connectivity issues between adjacent cells as per fluent definition...

negative volume are not ok, as they produce the singularity . it can be check by eyes. generally this problem is near the solid body with converging section. wat happens is that the two or more mesh lines at wrong path
