using RSM with axisymmetric meshes?

Hi

has anyone tried to model a 2d axisymmetric case (e.g. axisymmetric contraction in pipe) with the use of the RSM turbulence model. (using fluent 6.1) what was the results like: good/bad?

i'm having difficulty with stability - to get the solution going. and there are interesting differences in flow features when comparing RSM and k-e results.

thanks
