EVAPORATION??!!!

Hi. This is my last hope here. Do any body knows relations are equations for evaporation from liquid surface because of side-wall heat flux on the container(cylindrical) walls. the liquid and the vapor(gas) above the liquid are both of same fluid : HYDROGEN that is it single fluid, two-phase prob. with evap.

yeah for that single fluid, evaporation of liquid into its vapor. saturation temp dependent on vapor pressure. thanks and regards prasanth

Hi,

Generally mass transfer rate due to evaporation is D*M/R*(Pv/Tg - Pv_sat/Tb)/delta.

Diffusion coeff(m2/s)

M:Molecular Weight of vapor(kg/mol)

R:Gas constant(J/kmol)

Pv:Partial pressure of vapor at a wall adjacent cell.

Tg:Temperature at a wall adjacent cell.

Pv_sat:Stauration pressure of vapor(constant or a function of temperature)

Tb:Temperature at a wall

delta:cell hight.
