help on checking source term

Hello everyone,

I tried to add the species source term (g/s) in one fluid zone in Fluent. But I am not sure if the adding of the species source correct or not in Fluent. The result is converged. But I don't know how to check and see if the source works well or not by post processing. Could anybody give me guidelines on this point? Thanks a lot.

Re: help on checking source term

In the case of adding source terms into species transport equation, generally, Unit of source term is kg/(m^3*sec).

Then try to check out two simple cases based on physical phenomenon in your system. One is result without source term. The other is result with source term.

Good luck!
