[Q]flux matching technique using UDFs

Solver automatically divides wall into wall & wall_shadow when wall boundary condition is given bwteew two fluid region.(of course, in the case of interface between solid region and fluid region)

I've encountered little bit complicated problem. The problem is I have to manually match flux value between wall and wall_shadow boundary using UDFs since I'm using user-defined scalar transport equations.

Is there anybody who had experienced this situation? Any comment is appreciated.

Re: [Q]flux matching technique using UDFs

I am looking at this same issue with the intent to couple the electronic potentials in a gas diffusion layer and in its conducting plate. There is a UDF code posted on Fluent's website that deals with coupling two Scalar Transport equations across a wall boundary and its shadow wall. This code might be of some help.

Thank you. Harvey.

Anyway, I guess you're currently interested in Fuel Cell Modeling. I'm also interested in PEMFC modeling and focusing on coupling flux value between catalyst layer and membrane layer.

Do you solve water transport equation as a two phase system? or just solve water vapor phase?
