Hi
What are you working on and what's your problem? Chendhil. |
Re: atomization
Hi . Thanks alot for your attention. I am working on a gas turbine combustor 3D,using fluent for combustion modeling. The fuel type of combustor is kerosen. In project on which i am working an amount of hydrogen should be added like secoundary fuel stream. I am using chemical species transport model/eddy dissipation. According to chemical species transport model i can have only one fuel stream.|So could you please tell me how could i define my secoundary fuel stream. my secound question is ''how can i use atomization for initiating the combustion? Regards.

Re: atomization
Hi
If you plan to simulate droplet combustion, you may use any of the injetions (except the atomizer models) by specifying your SMD distribution. Then, you can couple with PDF models (there is an option to include the secondary stream). As far as igniting the mixture is concerned, you can use some sort of high temperature patching. Good Luck, Chendhil. |
Re: atomization
i think you can use the material transport model. first you choose a mixture material ,and then you define the fluid material what you want and add it in the mixture editing menu.at last you can define the mass percent of the material in the boundery menu. good luck !
