capillary pressure in multiphase model

hi...I am using eulerian multiphase model, to model gas and liquid flow through a packed bed. I want to inlcude the capillary pressure in the conservation equations. How that can be achieved?

Re: capillary pressure in multiphase model

Hi, You can do it using a source term in the momemtum equation. Here are the steps to follow: 1 - substitutes for each phae the pressure gradiant term -> - rho.gradP.

2 - then add the source term computing your capillarity pressure

Hi Thomas, i dint get you. Actually i dint get ur first step itself. It will really help me if u can explain the steps again. Thanking You in adv

Hi, Rather than getting throught a painful explaination i advice you to have a look to the following publication:

''Numerical predictiuon of 2 phase flow in bubble column''. N. Boisson, M.R. MALIN.

Good luck. Thomas
