Hi I want cooling a ball with flow stream.my rpoblem is forced convection.wall tempreture change wiht time.(unsteady) how can I difine UDF for wall of ball? what is the equation that I must use it to calculate "h"( convection heat transfer coeffienct)? tank yuo. Amir.

Hi,

To define temperature of the ball, DEFINE_PROFILE is suitable.

If the mesh around ball is very fine(Y+ < 5), the "h" is calculated automatically and this equations are showed in User's Guide. We can not define this "h" as default function except via UDF.
