Dynamic Meshes with Mixture Model

Hello

Has anyone successfully worked with a mixture multiphase model with dynamic meshes option !? Looks Like Fluent has some difficulty in computing Mixture Models with Dynamic Grids !

Any comments is well appreciated.

Thanks

Re: Dynamic Meshes with Mixture Model

Hi,

It's no problem even VOF model.

Mixture Model is not complex model in Fluent multiphase models. If it is Euler-Euler or Euler-Granular, it will be very tough calculation without MDM.

Hi

FLuent is not compatible with VOF Model and Dynamic Grids !

Only Mixture and Discrete Models are..but looks like Fluent simulations have some intricate problems when predicting cavitation and other other phenomena associate d with multiphase flows.

thanks

Re: Dynamic Meshes with Mixture Model

Hi,

Yes, you are right. They said "Fluent is not compatible with VOF Model and Dynamic Grids".

But I don't think so from those equations. So I checked and the results were O.K.

All phases mass and volume became conservation and it good agree with the experimental results.

From those equations of Dynamic Grids, I understand that both VOF and Mixture model is no problem because their scalars transport based on the mixture velocity.

For Euler-Euler model ,I said it's O.K but I reconsider the equations again , It's maybe impossible.

Thank you
