UDF compilation error

Dear All, Some days ago I had a problem of interpreting an UDF. I got help immediatelly, giving me the hint to compile the source code instead of interpreting it. So I did, but now, I got a new error message regarding to nmake:

Make sure that UDF source files are in the directory

that contains your case and data files. If you have an

existing libudf directory, please remove this directory

to ensure that the latest files are used. 1 file(s) copied.

Could you please comment on this? Thank you, Szabolcs

Re: UDF compilation error

First of all, put your UDF source code in the same directory where you saved the cas and dat file of your simulation.

Also, the message

nmake is not recognized as an internal or external command

means that FLUENT can't find Microsoft Visual Studio command line compiler. You have to install it and to set PATH in order to use compiled UDF on a Windows platform.

Hi :)

Re: UDF compilation error

Hai

I also faced the same error some time back. But after that instead of compiling, I try to interpret it. Now it is ok. Let u first try interpret and after that compile it.

I think we can do any of the things, interpret or compile.
