Default DPM Steady formulation with collisions

Hi,

I am using steady formulation for studying droplet laden flows. I also have to study effect of collisions in my problem. Previously I have used unsteady formulations for my problem. In the latest release of FLUENT6.1.22 steady formulation with collisions is available and we have to specify one parameter "average number of particles in cell" in DPM panel.

Have you some experience of how one should specify this parameter or in other words how much sensitive are calculations to this parameter?

Is the default value enough for acheiving reliable results?

I would like to thank you for sharing your experiences and knowledge with me.

Have a nice day.
