If you are referring to the implementation of the porous medium in FLUENT, there is no impact on the energy equation. FLUENT only applies an additional sink term to the momentum equation.

look at fluent manual, section 6.19.3: "Treatment of the Energy Equation in Porous Media"

"FLUENT solves the standard energy transport equation in porous media regions with modifications to the conduction flux and the transient terms only."

Also "The effective thermal conductivity in the porous medium is computed by FLUENT as the volume average of the fluid conductivity and the solid conductivity"

hello
i am modelling porous media using discrete phase model.
I am unable to calculate permeability
I know velocity 5.6 m/s
pressure 5600pa
thickness of porous medium 0.15mm
droplet diameter 0.5 mm
