I am a student in mechanical engineering and I am new in the use of FLUENT package. I am modeling a LASER CLADDING WITH WIRE FEEDING(see attached file) using fluent .(2D model) in laser cladding with wire feeding a laser beam with a constant scanning speed melt a thin layer of the substrate and the wire simultaneously. AS the laser source moves away from a location, resolidification of the zone occurs, forming to a final cladding layer. The object of this work is to study the thickness variation of the laser cladding with a wire feeding technique in order to investigate the effects of process parameters on the cladding profile, the influence of laser power, feeding rate and cladding velocity . I will be very greatfull to you if you help me . HOW CAN I SOLVE the problem of the continuity, momentum, energy equations, free boundary and phase change models .and how can fluent PREDICT THE THIKNESS OF THE cladding. your help is greatly appreciated...............THANKS.
