When using airblast atomization model in Fluent 6.1, in some cases, we have noticed that a very few particles are located (sometimes even 20% of the input) and that too they are not located all round the annular surface which is specified by (x,y,z), normal vector, inner and outer diameter. How does this affect the correctness of solution? And does it mean that the flow takes place only from the places where the particles are located successfully?

I think you should correctly initialize your droplets. what I get from your message is that some of the streams are getting initilized where as others are not and i dont think that fluent will redistribute mass distribution among the streams that are initialized....

If you are trying to initilize droplets on some boundary then Fluent gives error. what you should do is to initialize droplets inside the domain say by a distance of 0.0000001 m.
