importing solidworks2003 file to gambit 1.2

Hi

I have a problem about importing a solidworks 2003 3d part to gambit 1.2

I have tried all the extensions but still fails...

How can i import the file?

Finally tried the *.stl and it says "reading ....fidap..." still nothing is seen on the graphic area.

Iges is supposed to work without any problem. I am not sure of what the problem could be if you already tried it.

When i try to import iges file that was exported standart from solidworks, error 5800 happens. I mean doesn't even read the file properties etc.

Selecting generic, solidworks, autocad doesn't seem to handle and still the same error "unable to read file".

The file is a simple 3d fan model and it's not an assembly.

Still i don't get it. Arun thanks by the way...

Try to use ACIS(*.sat)file and, if necessary, change the version (under options) when you save the file in solidworks (with GAMBIT 2.0 it works)...Good luck!!!
