Default Gambit problem: unstructured grids

Hi:

I am working with gambit generating unstructured grids around arifoils. I have a major problem, my grids dont seem to be good enough, specially at the trailing edge. The grid (yellow) invades the boundary layer and that's when the red spots appear. Please if someone could help me to figure this out. I have tried different things: changing the spacing and the ratio of the meshed edges before applying the grid or the points or vertices on the edges, but it doesn't seem to work.

please I need just a hint or sth alike.

thanks for the help.

Alonso.

Hi!

It is confusing when you say the "grid invades the boundary layer". Does the grid come inside the geometry? Is that what you mean? If so, have you tried putting more grid points on the airfoil near the trailing edge? Good luck !

Well I think that's exactly what I mean, sorry for the confusion. Well i tried putting more points on the trailling edge as well as more points on lthe leading edge. There is n oproblem at all with the leading edge, however, i don have problems at the trailing edge. the grid (yello) has lines that go al lthe way to the vertices on the airfoil, instead of joining the boundary layer. By the way, I was performing this on a NACA 0015 (it was supposed to be easy!!!)

there is also a sizing cunction "carvatuture" which automatically refines the mesh at positions on your airfoil where the surface has "gradients" (=changes shape)
