Hi; can I model supercavitation by fluent 6.0.12? Thanks .

Re: supercavitation

Hi;

No! You never can model this type of cavitation by fluent6.0. You can model sheet and tip vortex and cloud cavitation, very well with fluent6.1 and you may can model supercavitation if you includ cavity compressibility effects. From supercavitation, I mean natural supercavitation. You can not model ventilated cavitation even with Fluent6.1. Of coarse if you can write a UDF for mass fraction between water and vapor in mixture model(with turning of cavitation model), and no mass transfer between water-vapor mixture and ventilated gas, you may can model ventilated supercavitation.
