Dear friends,

I am still in the course of my research program and am hoping that you can help me once again.

I am about to survey the river that i hope to model in fluent and the result of this will be a large number of coordinates (x, y, z) giving a basis for a topograhical model of the river bed. I will then be able to generate nodes a edges from these using the MATLAB program and this will result in an ASCII file. My question then: is there any way that I would be able to read this file straight into gambit or fluent so that I do not have the tedious task of connecting the nodes and edges by hand.

In the same way, once the nodes and edges have been created, is there a method for automatically defining the faces so that this need not be done manually.

any advice you can give would be a great help.

thank you

nial
