Continuum-type

Hi, I am working on Gambit and I have some difficulties to open properly my export file on Fluent. I am doing a 2-D geometry which represents a metal hydride system in a container with a leak. The instability cause by the leak will make the desorption of hydrogen possible. Everything is all right except than I am unable to set the continuum-type. When I set it, Fluent send me the error message as the following: "1 (mpsystem.c@1210): mpt_read:failed:errno=104 1: mpt_read:error:read failed trying to read 4 bytes: Connection reset by peer" I don't understand this message and I am unable to find the solution. If I don't set the continuum-type, Fluent is able to open my file and I can work on it. Of course, I am not able to modify the default zone. The model is simple and I don't think that I make a mistake (well I hope so!) in doing the face and the mesh on it. I suppose that I have a misunderstanding of the continuum-type versus the boundary-type.

Re: Continuum-type

With some help, we found where was the problem. If you get this message when you are using the fluent 6.1.22 on platform linux with windows xp OS, "999999 (mpsystem.c@1210): mpt_read: failed: errno = 104 999999: mpt_read: error: read failed trying to read 4 bytes: Connection reset by peer EOF on stderr. The fluent process could not be started" you must do the following step to open properly your file: 1-open Fluent on serial solver instead of parallel solver 2-save it with the serial solver and 3-open the .cas file on the parallel solver.

It seems there is a kind of bug when we try to open a mesh file with continuum-type conditions in fluent parallel.

I hope that this message will be usefull to some people.
