How to get flow variables at specific coordinates?

Hi

I'm using UDF to solve a Fuel Cell problem and I need to get the flow variable at a specific location. Now I know the physical coordinates of the cell that I want to access, but I could not find any functions in Fluent to do this. The only way I can think out is to do a loop over all cells in the domain and to test their coordinates. But I think it wastes too much time to do this loop.

So is there anyone know a convient way to solve this problem? Any ideas are welcome.

Thanks

create a point (in the surfaces list) with your coordinates, and ask for e.g. node averaged value of your flow variable in the resports.

Laika, still orbiting

Can u explain more about how to create a point in the surfaces list?
