Air Blast and Flat Fan Atomizers

I am using a Air Blast Atomoizer for one of my injections and 10 Flat Fan Atmoizers that are arranged in a circle. The problem I face is that I am required to have 25micron droplets for all the injectors. I have read the fluent manual and looked at the equations used to find the most probable droplet size. Currently I am going through a trial and error procedure adjusting the sheet and ligament constants, but I find this very time consuming. I have all variables needed to solve the equation in the Fluent manual for the most probable droplet size except for Ks, the wave number. I have no idea how to find this and the manual isn't very clear. Also can someone clarify the difference between the short and long wave. Is this the wave length of the sheet as it comes out of the injector? Any help will be appreciated.

Hi

If you need a spray of monosized drops (say 25 microns), you might want to consider other types of injections too. Air-blast atomizer generates drops with a size distribution.

I have also found the constants by trial and error method only.
