Hi, I am trying to figure out the velocity profile of particles flowing over a backward facing step, in a flow chamber. I have used the gambit preprocessor,to draw my geometry and produce a mesh. i am still a beginer, not familiar with the software at all, and i still can't figure out how to export it to the fluent interface. please i will appreciate any help.

Thanks.

In gambit select file menu, then export, then mesh. If your model is 2D make sure you also tick the box for exporting a 2D mesh.

To read the mesh in fluent, open the 2D solver and select read case. Make sure you scale the grid in fluent if you didn't created it in metres

Good luck
