Hi Oliver,
I do not have an answer. I have been asking myself the same question. I have searched the internet and found almost nothing. After three days I asked my self a question: Why do I need a more lisible journal ? If you do a Google search with the words: stanford fluent gambit - then the first two items will be: AUTOMATION and COMPUTATIONAL FLUID ... Get them printed out. For the second item the files are in .gz format - So what I do is select the file I want and when I am asked to open or save the .gz file I repond with CANCEL. Then I select the same file again and the second time the file is automatically unziped and you can save is in a readable format. In these two references you will find examples of journal files in the format you and myself want ! But I have decided to stop looking for the nice format and just use the scheme format - it is ugly - but it does the job ! Cheers, Nick |

To get a more lisible journal file, on the Internet do a search using Google and search for:
"Fluent 5" ug disabled Then in the "Fluent 5 User's Guide" manual read chapter 2, sections: 2.2 Text User Interface In chapter 25 you will find the Reference Guide for each command and at the end of each command there will be a description of how to execute the same command using the text command format. Start Fluent and in the Fluent window type: alias this will give you a list of the aliases defined by the system. For example the file/read-case text command can be invoked using the alias rc defined as (alias 'rc (labmda () (read-case))) Summary: Text command can be placed into a journal file and using aliases can make the text commands even shorter. |
