moving wall and fluid

Hello

I'm using dynamic mesh to define a moving wall that is in touch with a fluid, I have used hex-cells so I can't use local remeshing , and I use layering and spring smoothing ,but when I preview the motion the wall moves and it makes fluid cells deformated, and creates negative volume. If possible help me to solve this problem.

thanks

Re: moving wall and fluid

Hi, instead of using dynamic mesh you can do one thing. you craete your model as usual with out moving mesh and in Fluent you can specify that model as a movind boundary. Go to boundary conditions - selct wall - set - and selct momentum -- and there you can find moivng wall, select it and it will ask velocity of the moving wall, and you can give the velocity value according to your problem. Try with this one and after that you can jump to the problem what you are doing. I hope it will work, some of our friends are validating this problem by this method only

Thank you but in my case there is a pipe that oscillates and I have to use Dynamic mesh.I must active spring smoothing method but still I've not been successful.

I'm waiting for your useful comment.

Thanks.
