Copying boundary conditions from model to model

Hi everyone,

I have a model for which i designed a simulation in Fluent with all boundary conditions, and also definitions of DPM and Species Transport model. Now, I have some other geometries and meshes that i want to run the same simulation with the same boundary conditions with (the geometry boundary conditions, along with the DPM and Species definitions, coefficients, and material definitions). Is it possible to save the boundary conditions and the definitions from one model, and "copy" them, to work on other models? If so, how can it be done?

Thank you in advance,

Lior.

Re: Copying boundary conditions from model to mode

Under the FILE menu in the graphical based syatem, there are READ-BC and WRITE-BC commands.

Yes, I noticed that. But I doubt it if it saves also the boundary conditions of specific models like DPM and Species transport, right? And it also requires that the other model would be exactly identical to the first one, i assume...

Correct me if i am wrong about these two, please.

Thank you in advance,

Lior.

Just go to the TUI and go to file/write-bc. Give the name of your boundary file and then you can copy that to your other case through the TUI at file/read-bc providing the other case has the same boundary names. Your materials, DPM, and species definition are within that boundary condition file.
