sinulate bubble rising with VOF

hi, everyone: Now, I am computing the process of a bubble rising thourh water in a pipe. The diameter and the lenth of the pipe is 10mm and 150mm. the bubble diameter is 8mm. If any one could tell me how many grids should the geometry divided?

Thanks!

Hi A best compromise is: mesh length = bubble diameter / 10

Hi, Dear Eric, Thank you for your reply first! But how to choose the lenth width ratio? Is it a square? Thank you!

I always choose squared meshes. If you want your calculations not to diverge, the mesh has to be as regular as possible. If squared meshes are not possible, try Triangles (same sizes than squared cells) Best regards Eric
