Importing files from Pro/E to Gambit

Hi, How do I import a geometry created in pro/E to Gambit, so that I can mesh it properly and solve it in Fluent? Thanks, -Kiran

I recommend exporting a step file from Pro/E. Gambit has an import function for step files. For external flows, I recommend creating your control volume from the geometry in Pro/E instead of Gambit. It will save you a lot of heartaches. I've had better luck creating the control volume in gambit for internal flows, but I still have to go back to Pro sometimes.

go to file->import->gemoetry->proE.

if you do not have the correct version of proe it will not work. in this case you can save the proe file as a step file and import a step file as a 3d solid.
