Wall Function Approach..!!

Hi,

Did any body have knowledge of using standard wall function and enhanced wall treatment in k-e model.

I am having some problem in which one to select.

I also have to include wall roughness which I think I can't include in Enhanced wall treament.

On what basis the selection has to be made.

Thanx in advance

Titiksh

Re: Wall Function Approach..!!

it is general practice to use the standard wall funciton (spalding) and it has achieved the excellent success in industry

AS the qualitative results are concerd both have little differnce

any other comments !!!!!

In my opinion, If focusing on main characteristic of flow domain , standard wall funciton is enough. If wall domain is important to your problem, specially qualitative budget, for example, energy balance, using enhanced wall condition is necessary.
