mass flow in 2D model
Hello!
I want to simulate a real flow-chamber. From experiments I know the volume/mass flow of the gas entering the chamber. Now I want to use this information for my 2D Fluent model. When I am using a mass flow inlet to fill in the experimental data, how does fluent calculate the inlet speed?? To calculate speed from volume flow, you need an area! But it is a 2D model, so what is the third dimension fluent is using at the inlet in this case? Thanks in advance Ralf |
Re: mass flow in 2D model
Check the reference values (Click: Report-->Reference Values). There's a depth measurement when dealing with 2D. That will give you your third dimension.
