Gambit error : Unable to find Exceed X Server

Hi, I get everytime this error message when I try to run Gambit under Windows XP PRO (SP2). I tried to follow the instruction of hummingbird; they say: A workaround that Fluent Support has given is to set the DISPLAY variable to the computer_name.

The following are the steps on how to set the Display on Windows 2000/XP:

- Open up Control Panel - Double click on System - Click on the Advanced tab - Click on the Environment Variables button - Under User Variables click the New button In the Variable text box type: DISPLAY In the Value text box type: computer_name:0.0 (where computer_name is the actual name of your computer) Click OK. BUT IT DIDN'T WORK !!! I got still the same error message: UNABLE TO FIND EXCEED X SERVER. If someone knows how to solve this troubleshooting let me know. Thanks

Re: Gambit error : Unable to find Exceed X Server

Hello, I got the same error message but I managed to solve it. My Os is Windows XP PRO (sp2). Let me show you my approach : -Download the Hummingbird Exceed 10 -Install it -run Exceed: Start->Hummingbird connectivity10->Exceed->Exceed. Run cmd.exe, Run gambit.exe with the default command line that you used to do. Unable to find Exceed X server gonna appear but don't close the window and allow your firewall to Gambit access to the net. Normally it'll work ! If not create a value : (The following are the steps on how to set the Display on Windows 2000/XP)

Reboot your computer if it's necessary. Redo the same steps like I said above, that is: run Exceed, run cmd and type gambit. I hope I was clear in my explanations. Hope it will work on your computer.
