Hello, everyone I use standard k-w model for my simulation. The residual plot just stay constant even after 2000 interations. But if trying ske and rke model, it can converge after 400 interations.I want to know is there any specific requirement for k-w model??

Any suggestion or help will be greatly appreciated!

Try solving your flowfield for a laminar flow and use that as a starting point for your turbulent simulation. My experience is that the solver works better if you start with a simple problem and gradually make it more and more complex, each time using the solution to the simple problem as an initial condition for the more complex problem.

I have ever used k-w model in my work but I didn't like it. I found that k-w sst model was better. Another problem of k-w compare with k-e is k-w must set less residue than k-e. If you want the goo result.

Hope I can help you. Bowling

you are rigt. I also found that the sst k-w model is far better than the standard model.
