help on wall treatment

Hello everyone,

I am wonderring if we can use two kind of wall treatment on specfied parts in Fluent 6.1. For example, one part use standard wall function and the other part use near wall treatment. Is it possible in Fluent? Could you give me any idea on this point? Thanks a lot.

Best regards, Zwdi

You want to do this because you're concerned about y+ or try to use different mesh resolution in different parts of the wall region in your model?

If you're using V6, try the enhanced wall treatment (EWT). It invokes appropriate wall-laws depending on the local mesh reoslution.

Thank you very much, helper. I guessed enhanced wall treatment could handle this problem. But I am not sure. Thanks for your highlights. By the way, could you tell me how you know that? Thanks again.

Best,

Zwdi
