the error about boundary and turbulence

Hi all

My system is two phase mixing. One phase is gas and other is liquid. There are two input and one output. A input is velocity_inlet for gas and other is mass_flow_inlet for liquid.

When I do initializing , some messages appear.

The first message:

turbulent viscosity limited to viscosity ratio of 1.000000e+05 in 2130 cells

The second message:

Error:

FLUENT received fatal signal (ACCESS_VIOLATION)

1. Note exact events leading to error.

2. Save case/data under new name.

3. Exit program and restart to continue.

4. Report error to your distributor.

Error Object: ()

What do they mean and how to straighten out ?

I change the boundary condition of the liquid phase and mass_flow_inlet changes to velocity_inlet. The second error message is gone. But I just know the mass flux of the liquid with experiment.

What can I do ?

Thanks

Re: the error about boundary and turbulence

About the first problem, you must reduce the value of the turbulence on the inlet boundary.

About the second problem, the direction of the inflow could not parallel with the inlet boundary. You try to chang the direction of the inflow, the problem would be settled.

Re: the error about boundary and turbulence

may be u sould change the initial value before iterate, sometimes the value is unrealistic if u count from boundary.
