[help]dynamesh

hello everyone.I don't know what to do when the errors occour.

In first 0~0.4s,use

/* axi,coupled imp,rngke,unsteady */

and then use the dynamesh

/* axi,coupled imp,dynamesh,rngke,unsteady */ the follow errors occour:

Error: FLUENT received fatal signal (ACCESS_VIOLATION) 1. Note exact events leading to error. 2. Save case/data under new name. 3. Exit program and restart to continue. 4. Report error to your distributor. Error Object: ()

What's wrong and what should I do?

Could you be more specific concerning the problem? - Terri

Thanks,Terri.

I will describe the problem in detail.In the first 0.4s,it is only a unstesdy axi problem,and need about 30000 steps.After then there is a move part,so it becomes a dynamesh problem.The problem is that as far as I change the solver to dynamesh and define the correlated BoundryConditions and click ITERATE to compute much more steps,the errors occour.

But for the same model,if I won't complete the first 0.4s ,I mean I just iterate 100~300 steps(0.003s),then change to dynamesh ,everything is ok. So what is wrong?And what should I do.

Re: [help]dynamesh

When switching over to dynamesh after 0.003s you have a different starting point then when you switch after 0.4s, so it is absolutely possible that the error only occurs in the latter case. However, why it occurs, I can't say. Do you use a UDF? If yes, do you have dynamic memory allocation? This is often the cause for access violations.

Hello, How are you defining your moving zones. It may be benificial to use the dynamic mesh model from the begining and define your zone motion so that it is stationary for the first 0.4 sec and then moves after that. This can be done by udf if necessary. I hope this helps. J
