Melting process

hi,

if im supplying heat flux on one sided of my 2D model,say to the side of a rectangle. Since heat flux is measured in w/m2, but my model is only 2D, so what is the default assumption in this case for the heat flux if i want to calculate the heat(joules) supplied? is it taken as per unit length?

In the default values menu you can set a depth value. All 2D analyses will use this depth value as the third dimension.

Hope this helps, Jason

Report -> Reference Values

Brings up the Reverence Values Panel (sorry about that, this is what I meant when I said default value menu).

Hope this helps, Jason
